I fished Sherman Lake this AM.  Joining me were ScottV, Reelfish and Mattcando(spelling).  We met up at the Sherman Lake ramp at 7 and set forth on our quest.  I followed the rip rap straight out of the ramp and everyone else went west along the tules.  I tried Whopper Ploppers hoping for a topwater bite but no love.  I went through the tackle bag until I found something that worked….a red head/white Rat L Trap.  I couldn’t find a black bass but the stripers were all over the Trap.  All the stripers I caught were undersized (16 inches) except one at 19 inches and full of fight.  I ended the day early with 6 fish because of prior commitments and headed home.  It was nice to meet you guys today.  A few photos for your approval…

The lake was dead ass flat this morning.

Great day on the water, especially weather wise.  Great meeting everyone!  Me and Matt fished together and did pretty good.  I ended with 4 and I think Matt got 6 or so.  Size could have been better, but I was happy!  Just practice for the Port!!
So long and thanks for all the fish!!!

Slow fishing on the tules side only two fish in the 15 - 16 inch range. Yea the weather was nice once the sun came up. Started out fishing on a low tide. I like fishing the high tide in the morning my fish came on my go to lure a lipless crank bait. I had a spare so I gave it to Matt (Mattcando) a fine young man hope it does well for you. Nice to meet you Sam and Scott. Scott I did break out the fly rod and did a lot of water slapping. It can only get better from here.

Looks like the norm for when I fish nothing but shakers! Still a lot of fun. Anyone try for sturgeon?
