Decided it was time I got out of the house since my accident. Rested my shoulders 2 weeks now. Figured it was time to get some exercise and try and loosen up the shoulders.

Hit my usual spot south of moss landing.

High tide was at 5:45. Slept in a bit ( didn't want to get out of bed  :smt005 ) and was looking for the honey hole and little rip tides about 7:10. Found a couple that produced right off the bat. Landed the larger 13 inch right away so I was content early.  :smt001. Walked a little more south and secured a small one. Didn't want to over do it on the shoulder since I have about 85 % usage on the right shoulder and about 60 on the left since my accident.  :smt011  :smt001.

So started to head in and hooked up to my third that is about 12.5 '. ( feet ) like Alien's.   :smt005  And finished with another smallish one. My Co-worker will be happy with the gift of Perch.

Also didn't want to over do it since I have a date with Big Sur this sunday with the infamous Albycor.

Really missing the big blue on the my kayak though. I am almost sure I missed a seabass at SWS before my accident. There are still reports of seabass hugging the coastline and an occasional one in the bay.

Thanks Bro. Hope to fish Mendo one of these days. So hard to travel when we have so much to fish for here at the Monterey bay. Trout fishing does suck around here. Unless you like trout that have been swimming around in a quarry chemical mixture. Delicious. Is fun to catch some of those mutants on light line though.  :smt005

Stepped out this morning for a few hours south of moss landing. Some how talked my pops into going out with me.  He's 72 .Bundled him up good before I took him out .  :smt001 More like a heavy drizzle than rain on us. High tide near 9 am. Surf was pretty strong and sets were a little to close to each other. Made difficult for keeping offering out long enough.
Was able to find some love on a couple nice keepers. Haven't measured but guessing both at about 13 inches.

Tried coaxing Albycor and Baitandbeer out there. No show this morning for them.  :smt005
should have started a new thread but was being .....

The undersides of the perch were darker with black spots on them. Is this something that happens this time of year ? Are these males ?
Never found to be so pronounced before.

Sorry Bro . Thought you would be working and it seemed as though no one wanted to brave the storm. The surf did seem to settle a little around 10:30 but my Pops was ready to go by then. Drop you a text if I can make it. Front and back yard are calling me for attention . :smt012 . Usually have the family and in-laws over for the Holidays .
