Planning to take the yak out in front of Cannery Row tomorrow morning around 9:00am ish.
Not looking to slay giants, just want to fill the fridge with some fresh fish.
Weather is looking pretty decent and I'm really only planning on fishing for 4-5 hours depending on the bite.
If this holds true, I may push towards the green can but only if someone else is with me. Otherwise, I'll be close to the kelp beds.
Company welcome and will be monitoring 69 if anyone is interested.

PM if interested. Also open to SWS but never been so might need some guidance as to where to park/launch etc.
Thanks,

Dave

I'll be in for SWS tomorrow.. It'll have to be a early AM start. Like sunrise. Have you ever been there? Are you familiar with entry?? I was planning on fishing Davenport but id like some fish in my freezer too.. Be ready to fish 100-120ft of water. I'll be more then happy to put you into some pigs and show you around my spots.. Bring squid, I mainly use live bait there so if you have a live well or sabiki setup bring that. Squids a great back up bring 5-6oz weights. PM me if you want to go it's well worth the $10 entry!

Damn....if I could make it there at that time, I would.
Unfortunately, I have to drop my daughter off at school in the AM.
Driving from San Jose as well.
I would love to go to SWS as I've never been except when watching the PRO AM.
Let me see if I can get some wifey love...I'll keep you posted.

Thanks

Swell was all over the place, fishing was still decent for sure for the swell... Used live bait and swim baits. The big hammers killed em.. lost some pigs caught some decent size ones too all over 27".. Wake side came in happy with a full stringer.. Will post photos when I upload em

Nice going, can't wait to see the fish photos. I gota try SWS before El Nino goes into full effect this winter. Great start towards the weekend though no doubt.

We got to SWS around 6am ish and were on the water just before sunrise. It was definitely looking like a sweet day OTW but it turned out to be something like 6-8 ft swells and pretty windy. I was ok with the swells but it was more like a washing machine out there. First time on the yak where I was actually yakking. Fished for some time using squid while Rippin used live bait. Hooked up on a few bigger sized lings but lost em. Eventually, we switched over to big hammers and BENDO!. 34" ling on a red metallic hammer....not sure on color choice for Rip. Also caught a few nice sized blacks. Fished from 7am till about 9:30am when I just couldn't take it anymore. It went something like this....Yak, drop line, hookup, yak, drop line, hookup. Wind was really starting to kick up so I paddled back in. Glad I did too cause the cove was really windy. Only saw a couple other people paddling out. Felt really bad for wanting to come in early but I think timing was right to do so. All in all, it was still a good day on the water.
Thanks to @RippinLips for a good day on the water and for showing me around. Sorry again for getting sick. Hopefully, it wont happen again.

Heres a few pics of the day.

This was on Thursday 11/19. I will most likely try to hit that spot up again before season ends and will let you know.
Weather reports for that day were looking good. Not sure when mother nature decided to kick it up a notch.
I know there was a more recent report with excellent conditions. Def. some big fish out there. Just need to find em.
The cove is blown out for sure.

You fished and puked and still pulled a good stringer for under 3 hours of fishing!  And... you made a safety call when the wind picked up. No shame in your game, Bro.  Congrats!

Nice stringer. And nice pair of Subi's.
Those are some nice Subarus, I run an Impreza as well (easy to load).
Is there some lift on the one on the right or does it just look like that because the wrx is so low?
