Ticketed for paying

I parked at Hog Back boat launch Sunday, and was ticketed. Non-payment, stub # from the envelope was not in iron ranger.

I dont see how that is my fault. I plan to contest it. Anyone else have experience with this?

If so, contest it. I have contested many parking tickets in my day, and usually win.  The only times I don't win is when the parking is run by some massive parking concession company that sends me on a wild goose chase of automated phone options.

Envelope was damp and I stuffed it in the slot as far as I could. Maybe someone could have fished it out with a dental pick. I hope they are reasobable when I talk to them

I figured you payed.  I'd contest it, just be prepared to have your time wasted. Sorry dude.

I know. I had a parking ticket in oakland, in a state vehicle, with lights on, out of live lane, and had to jump hoops for two years!!!! Had to pay, then contest, then wait. Two years....

Might be that cities see the state as a cash cow, too.

I recall there was a camp host in cen cali that was nailed for getting people to pay twice at an iron ranger campground. The hosts would pocket the initial payment, and then bust the camper for not paying. "hey, there's no payment in the lock box so you owe us" kind of thing.

Next time do a selfie showing payment into the box! 

Last time I was out there, someone had stolen the pay box. You could use that in your defence. It is known that criminals target that park too steal the money from the pay box.

Their phone # is down after 12:00, so only able to call in the morning. Guess I will try tomorrow, not sure if City of Sac is working Veteran's Day or not. Gotta love it.
