I have a 2012 AI.  I fish it an Adventure standalone once in a while.  I took out last weekend and caught a 3 lb trout at a local lake.

That looks like a real fisherman's garage...

I see that you have a compass mounted in front of the pedals. I have a flat compass attached to the center hatch and keep another one in the pocket of my PFD. IMHO, a compass is absolutely essential (even if you have GPS) and having one mounted to the kayak makes it easy to stay on track, even in dense fog.
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

And I keep a camelback inside the middle hatch, so I don't have to carry water bottles...

We have the same prefernce  with Scotty Flush Mounts.  I also like them over gear tracks. I know where to put my gear and did away the "what if" I want to change things around.  I guess I've kayak fishing too long.   :smt004

I totally agree. I had another kayak with gear tracks, and I never adjusted the position of anything. Because of the narrow rails on the Adventure, you don't have a lot of options as to where to put the Scotty mounts, but I still prefer the fixed mounts. And I only used non-flush mounts inside the side pockets, where they're not visible...

The rails hit my crossbars while I am transporting the kayak, but I haven't had any issues with that other than scuffed up crossbars (I don't care about that).

Some $15 surf/windsurf board crossbar pads will take care of that, plus they protect the boat, help it not slide around.

Nice looking setup, now you got me curious on how you installed your dr

You'll be sorry that you asked...

Btw, if you use a rail system instead of my DIY inside-the-cupholder mount, then it would be much simpler.
Thanks for the link.you didn't get the whole thing on video by any chance?
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

Sorry, no video, but it's basically the same approach as pmmpete used. He's in Montana, and posts on here sometimes. You might want to check out his latest downrigger install, as it's pretty sweet. Anyways, if you've got any specific questions, I'd be glad to give you more info.
