So I just placed my order for the yak and rudder but unfortunately I don'f think it will make it in time for the crab opening. Plenty of time and dungies out there though so while waiting I am curious if anyone has put a Yeti Tundra 35/45 in the rear tank well and or the dimensions of the back?

And correct me if I am wrong but looks like a full size plastic ammo box will fit directly behind the seat compartment? Lastly if anyone happens to know if a Yeti Hopper 20/30 will fit in the center rod pod section or rough dimensions of the inside?

Appreciate any information or other tips where a quality cooler can fit snug.

You can just about put anything back there but packing the kayak minimal way is the way to go.  No need for a cooler out there. Just my opinion.

I have a T13 and sell Yeti coolers at my work. I can check when I go back to the salt mines on Monday. Considering that we are very much in their target demographic they don't fit particular well in kayaks(Ocean Kayak anyways). I wouldn't try and talk you out of buying one but am curious do you want a kill bag for fish or just a high quality cooler?
None of the small hard sided Yetis are so little as to fit in the small molded area we put Plano tackle boxes in. Consiqently you'd have to place the cooler length ways. The ones long enough to take up the whole tank well are too wide to fit in the forward section. I think they're all wider than the forward section. So they have to be put so far back that they would be a real pain to get in to. As for the hopper they're nice but don't seem like a good fit for the rod pod because of the tall and wide bottomed shape Specially made kill  bags are what the market fishermen use for their catch. Save all the weight on your kayak pack a light lunch keep a big yeti cooler in your car or truck full of ice and bleed your catch.

Thanks for the info there. I already have a Roadie but was just curious about other sizes that might fit. I'll have to look into kill bags later down the road but for now will go with the mesh/burlap bag (original question was trying to also say if anyone had used it as a setup but scratch that) so when on the ocean the Yeti will stay in the car but reservoirs and lakes I'll throw it on board with lunch and beverages.
