Anyone know a launch spot near there?  Near outback adventures?  Or know if outback lets people launch private kayaks there?

based upon my google mapping, there looks like some potential shore access on the south side of the creek off Redwood Hwy/Greenbrae Boardwalk. Is that an OK place to park a car?

Other side of the creek, and west of the bridge, right next to marin rowing club is a dock that is public. Bring a cart. You park right next to the club, and roll along the left (east) side of the building.

also pretty easy to park east of there on Sir Francis Drake Blvd., just west of the back entrance to San Quentin and launch from the beach where the wind surfers launch.

thanks.  i'm planning to take my daughter out there to fish perch in the railroad trestle pilings/bridge right next to Outback, so the shorter the paddle the better.  She doesn't have the patience to go a longer distance and I'd want to keep out of the way of the ferries.

Driving over the creek this AM i saw that there was orange fencing kinda near the entrance to that dock.  If that blocks access, then just wheel down the pathway a bit under the bridge and you can easily launch from shore.

Then it is just a 100 yd paddle to the trestle.
There may also be stripers lurking in there- its a bit late in the year for them there now, but just barely.

I would hope you'd drag a rattle-trap on the way to the pilings in case of momma-striper bites. GL!

I'm parked right next to the Richmond bridge right now by the caltran station, saw 4-5 massive explosions on the surface.man I wish I had a rod right now!
My biggest worry is that my wife(when I'm dead)will sell my fishing gear for what I said I paid for it

If you exit 101 south don't turn left at the intersection. Continue straight across the intersection into the dirt lot Under the bridge. It's not marked but fishermen park down there all the time. It's about a 20 yard walk to the water. I've been pulling decent striper from there using crank baits.

yes under the bridge you can get in the water fairly easy. I have not seen wind surfers by the Q in a while I wonder why? Good luck I am thinking about hitting that spot this week.10 min drive from home.

So under the 101 used to be the jam for launching. Kinda clandestine but I never had any problems. Now that orange temporary fencing does indeed block off access to the creek. They're working on expanding the bike path over the creek so I expect this launch site is dead for a while at least.

Up the creek there are a few launch sites. Piper park would work but it's a little bit of a haul from the parking lot to the launch site. On the other side of the creek is a little park called Bon Air Landing - the downside there is you need to get your kayak down some stairs.

Corte Madera creek is one of my favorite spring spots so I'm looking at the options and right now the windsurfer spot along Sir Francis Drake, just before San Quentin looks best.

Oh, and the public launch next to the rowing club is closed.

When I launch I go from the back side of San Quentin, just be sure to keep your car locked up and nothing of value visible.
