We just returned from an awesome weekend at Clearlake with NCkA crew for the Fresh KATS tourney. Thanks so much to Rider, Rockfish, and Wingshooter for putting together such a fantastic weekend. It was a laid back family friendly event. The weather was perfect and the fishing was good. Big Congrats to Noaki ok his big win!!

After awards and the pot luck a few of us rounded up some leftover Lockford Sausage and paddles out under the full moon to drift for cat fish. About an hour in the bite turned on and between the 4 of us we caught 7 10lb + cats. Such a fun fight on bass gear. Thanks again to the boys for getting me on my first Clear Lake Cat. Had the time of my life. Here are some photos I took over the weekend.

Excellent haul! How was boat traffic on the lake? I'm planning a trip up there...

Boat traffic varied depending on where you tried to fish.  I went across to Henderson at first light and fell in line with 8 other bass boats fishing the rocks with all of us about 20 yards a part.  I could hold a conversation with the furthest boat without really having to raise my voice.  The boats swapped out all morning but they were always within casting distance of me.
