My wife and Pinterest

So it started out innocent enough.  She said she found some cool projects on Pinterest that she wanted to make. 

But after a few of "Her" projects I realized she made a list of projects.  And when I say list I mean pages and pages of stuff from chicken house stuff, kitchen table and recently a baby shower for our daughter.  But the kicker is I end up making them all. 

I have very minimal wood working skills, but apparently it is a tad more than her. 

Anyone else get volunteered?  Going to have to limit them to one a month and only on bad ocean days.  Still think the list will still be there when I die.

Here is the latest project.  Still not sure what it's for but its hanging on the wall until the baby shower is over.

A neat and more personal way to kinda clean up that baby sign up would be to replace the branch with a nice piece of driftwood......that you can only get at your favorite dive spot. 

I just tell mine, I will start once I'm done with my fishing list.

Yeah a nice piece of driftwood would be nice.  But my wife grabbed this branch while I was working on a different list called wood cutting and I didn't want to make it look to good or she would have tried to get me to mass produce them so she could sell them on the Internet. 

Still got to finish this pile.  And who knew you could get a log splitter on Amazon. It's not the fastest but it gets the job done at my slow pace.

Soooooo, I'm probably more guilty of finding projects for MYSELF on Pinterest. Art projects, beer brewing stuff, landscape/outdoor ideas, camping hacks, recipes, etc. I guess I'll leave my "man card" at the door.

LOL.  I was getting ready to post that very response before coming to the end of your post.  You beat me to it.

So what I am getting from the responses is I should find my own projects and put a slight priority over my own list. 

I get the list of stuff I have no clue how to accomplish, followed by those dreaded words:

"How hard can it be?"

2 days and 4 trips to the hardware store later...

Hey DG - keep doing her projects and earn WAF points (wife and family) towards your project or fishing time account.  It sure can't hurt

I just think about life without my wife and then do what she needs with a smile on my face--knowing that she is the MOST important component of my life <><

Haha, I know, I feel that Duane, it happens here, too! That royal: "We" are going to . . .

Those little electric splitters aren't fast or super tough, but get it done, split a lot of trimmings and widowmakers with one, too.

Depends on the project of course, but lately my response has been, "Cool, knock yourself out".
Otherwise I wouldn't even know what fishing, diving, archery or NCKA was.
