I know it's a long shot. But we have a diverse group. Been looking on CL as well but anyone have a TW200 in their garage they are looking to unload?

I have one, but I'm not gonna sell it.  I bought mine way up in Eureka last year from the Yamaha dealer.  He uses them in a Learn-to-Ride program.  It had a couple hundred miles on it ridden around a parking lot.  Out the door price was $3400.

I'm not one to leave things be, so I sorta fixed it up a bit.  Here's a couple photos;
I took a few parts from a TTR225 and applied to this bike.  Stuff like the gas tank, kick stand, etc.  A few other add-ons like bark busters, better front tire, grip heaters, folding mirrors, LED turn signals and rear tail light, carry rack, high front fender, o-ring chain.

I even installed a kick starter since Yamaha made this an electric-only start some years ago.

Then I camoed it.

There is a TW200 forum.  Lots of guys here in Nor-Cal are on this forum.  There is a local guy in Pleasanton who is pretty savvy on these bikes on the forum.
This guy does some real magic to these TW200's.  He puts a 250 piston in there with a bored 225 cylinder, and a 6 speed gear box from a 225 as well.
He has a mod where he puts a dual rear sprocket on; for street and dirt.  He also builds extended swing arms for them, about 4" longer I think.  Every few months, he holds a weekend invite for folks to come to his house to add mods, or fix their TW200, then they go for a ride.  A Wrench-n-Ride I think he calls them.

Nice bike Jerry. Yeah I registered on the form and have already exchanged PMs with Brian in Pleasanton. Will keep on the lookout for one. Great price on a gently used bike
