I did not see any special deals going for their grand opening with any of their electronics brands.  Just the mail-in rebate for a free Insight chip & that ends on Nov 1

Good question. With big corps like that, the online store is usually a separate entity. So the brick & mortar store is not necessarily beholden to the deals advertised online. That's how Walmart operates, for example. But if BPS has a price-match guarantee, then perhaps they'd match the price advertised online.

West Marine flip-flopped back & forth between price matching their own internet site.  I can see it from both the company and consumer side though.  I would "assume" the consumer side of things, when a company has both a web site AND a retail store, should win and get price match of their own site; with some exceptions of course.

Here's what I found but it still doesn't clearly answer my question...  oh well.

Do you match prices?
Generally, merchandise prices in Bass Pro stores, catalogs, and websites will be the same. Occasionally, due to sales, clearance events, or market conditions, prices may vary.
For orders placed through the catalog or online, we will offer a price match with a Bass Pro Shops retail store location, with the following exceptions:
We will not honor items noted in the retail store flyer as a "special purchase"
We will not honor buy one get one free offers
We do not price match gun safes
We will not honor bonus offers
We will not honor rebate offers
We will not honor competitor's coupons (i.e. $60 off  $100 order, 25% off order, etc)
If the item is not currently in stock through the catalog/online, we will not offer a price match.
We do not match our retail store special sales, such as the Thanksgiving 5 hour sale or 5 day Hot Buy Specials. 
We do not honor percentage off sales if it is in conjunction with redeeming Outdoor Reward points or using a specific credit card.
(Example-we would not honor "10% off your purchase if you use your VISA credit card"). However, we will honor standard percentage off sales (example-"25% off all Redhead footwear") IF we carry the item through the catalog/online.
Some special offers do exist at retail locations that are special buys for that store only, or for a limited time only. We will make every effort to supply customer with item; however, if item is out of stock at retail locations, Bass Pro Shops may not be able to purchase any more quantities.
Please request the price match at the time the order is placed.

We should ask Mike solsrf1 if BPS store will match the price of an item that's cheaper on the BPS site...

I remember going to the opening of BPS in Manteca to look for some items. Huge rows of freshwater crank baits and other hard baits but none of anything on my shopping list. The tuna fishing tackle was minimal which I expected, I wonder if the same will be true at the new store.

They do have some tuna & large game tackle.  Remember, they are BASS pro so they tend to have a far larger bass type of selection.

They need larger Big Hammers. They had a good assortment but they were all small.

The answer to the price match of Internet price while in the store is YES ... bring a copy of the price from the internet & they will match it UNLESS it is an internet-only sale price.  The price needs to be still active on the internet when you bring in the printed copy of it.  In the case of the Lowrance unit for $79, that was a 1-day only price so you had to act fast!

As we come into Holiday Season & B.F. pricing ... I'll do my best to keep you all up to speed on any Lowrance offers/deals in-play locally.
