How would you fish this?

I went back Sunday with some bait and they were nowhere to be seen. I don't know if they left the area or were just out of sight.

I'd take this stuff,  mix with egg,  corn and some secret scent; bake it in to cherry sized balls,  drill out center and pin to a boilee rig.

First time there were swirls and fish jumping and swimming on the surface. Second time nothing. You can't shoot what you can't see. I had dough and corn dough for what it is worth.
