still available at Walmart.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Igloo-Quick-and-Cool-Cooler-White-100-Quart-Cooler/14550421

I don't need a 100qt, I already have a 62 and a 120.  The 100 size is too large for most of my trips, takes up too much room in the back of my subaru.  I only bring it when I'm going on a trip for larger fish.

That's funny because the day I ordered one from Amazon I checked other sites and Target was the only one selling it that low.  Now Walmart is.  Maybe they have some auto price adjusting tools that look at other sellers prices and adjust prices.  I still don't have mine but no rush.  Several hour drive to target and 1 1/2 hours to Walmart so Amazon usually works better as long as they have the item.

I went to Target (in Marina) to pickup my cooler yesterday. Because I received an email from Target saying it was ready for pickup.
BUT...the gal at the Customer Service desk couldn't locate my pkg. After checking in the "back" they still couldn't find it. So a supervisor/manager came out and told me that they don't have it. She was a total bitch...presumably from dealing with angry customers on a daily basis? I remained calm and understanding...and asked when my order will arrive; I can pick it up whenever it arrives. And showed her the email from Target. She claimed that it wasn't going to arrive and that my only option was to cancel my order. At this point, I was getting kinda frustrated.
I suggested they have it shipped from another store or follow-up with corporate/web sales/whatever. She gave me a 1-800 number to call and suggested I "cancel my order instead of getting charged for something I will never get." Her suggestion was ridiculous and I begrudgingly cancelled my order :-(
Well, this morning I received a call from Target stating that they're sorry but they found my package...and that I'd have to pay for it upon pickup since they already cancelled my order. The gal on the phone was clearly a manager and she was aware of the situation. So I explained to her how frustrating my experience was.

I would prefer to buy it somewhere other than Target. But after checking the Walmart site, this cooler is listed at $40 now. So I still want the cooler because $29 is a great deal. And I would savor the opportunity to tell Target to eat a bag of dicks. But it looks like I might have to buy it through them regardless.
Hmmmm...considering my options.

I want to send a bag of that to Best Buy in Gilroy!  After my ordeal there last night, I'm DONE with them!  Nobody there to help & only 5-7 customers in the entire store ... yes, I counted ... finally walked out the door & told the "greeter/security" guy that we didn't buy because nobody wanted to help us ... his reply?  "oh well" .... YES "oh well"  :smt013

To Best Buy ... I salute you!  :smt097

There are only a few places locally that have good customer service and they still get my business.  I go online for everything else and that's why I waited for Amazon to get it in stock and should get mine on Wednesday.  If you call Amazon they may give it to you for the $29 price if you tell them how Target treated you.  Worth a try.

Damn, bummer about your experience.  Mine was about to turn bad, but the manager recovered the fumble nicely.  I had until the 21st to pickup my order, I went on 20th after receiving an email reminder to pick up my stuff.  I went in and they pull out 1 cooler (ordered 2).  I asked where the 2nd cooler is and girl says its been cancelled.  WTF!!  Then she brings over the manager, she goes in the back and finds the 2nd cooler and proceeds to tell me that since my order was cancelled, they would have to ring me up there and I would have to pay the new price.  Told her that wasn't fair since they messed up and cancelled my order somehow after sending me an email 30 minutes prior reminding me to pick it up by the next day.  She did what she needed to and everything rang up for same price and I walked away happy.

Just to followup, I told Target I still wanted the cooler. Then gave it a few days to think about it. In the end, I decided to get it. When I picked it up (and paid again; at the original price of $29), they gave me a handful of $3 coupons that say "we're sorry." After tax it was $32...but they gave me $12 worth of sorry coupons...so, in reality it was about 20 bucks. I'm glad me & Target made up because there aren't many options in Marina.

Great follow-up.  Glad it worked out in the end.
