I'm heading down to Baja in a few days. I would like to get a two-piece rod that will stow in the back of my Subaru. My two-piece surf rod barely fits, but my one-piece Calstar is just too big for this trip. Any recommendations on a two-piece rod that can handle 20 pound test?

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

I found something the same size (8.5 feet) at Bayside Marine for only 80 dollars. It's a Lamiglass two-piece rod that fits in the back of the car just fine. It can take 20 pound line, and my Penn reel seems to fit it well. I'll know in a few days!
