ISLANDER 3.5 DAY - Reports on pg 44!

Here's a little tip for ya.

After the first morning almost all of our paddles will be stacked under the kayak rack by the bait tanks. Many paddles look the same. Many paddles are the same. In 2013 there was a three way mix-up of bent shaft Werner Shunas and I'm still not positive I got mine back. The next year I blacked out one of the "E"s in Werner and that helped a little, but not much. What I did last year worked much better. I put a couple of wraps of colored electric tape around the shaft and that worked perfect. Was easy to grab both halves of my paddle out of the mountain of other paddle halves.

 

I plan on labeling everything I have one way or another.  Might just get some colored luggage tags for all my bags and stuff.  Lots of prep to do!!! 

Well reality just kicked in for me this morning. 9 days till lift off. Just got all my dive gear together. Can wed come soon enough??

Is there still one opening available or does the thread title need to be fixed? Or is there another non-kayaker onboard?

The fact that nobody wants Bloodbath's spot is a sign that he needs to unbail and get on this boat!

Yup. I'm probably not going to be able to fish before next Wednesday so I started getting all my gear ready yesterday afternoon. Found a few Rapalas I bought for my Mexico trip. I'm gonna pull a Pat and drag one around whenever I'm on my way back to the boat.

Today is my last day @ NPS. I start my new job tomorrow! Then go to SCI next Thursday!!

IMO, everyone should get in on the jackpot. From 2014 - Raydon won day 1 with a barely legal halibut, Kris won day 2 with a nice sized Calico, and Ruben won with a monster goat.

I'm in some jackpots.  I'm still not 100% now, but I will be on top of my game by the time this trip goes down.  Can't wait!
