Yes the fish porn is nice but really the attitudes! Man get the *&ck off my fishing grounds!  Bunch of BS, yea they are making a living off fishing but the attitude they take saying that this is their spot? I'm not sure they would even be liked in NCKA! Kinda like that one jack ass the was saying Big Sur was his area!

and the local surfers over there are where they learned it from.......then the surfers here started acting like that!

Makes me wonder what is real and what's staged to make things exciting for viewers.

I'd love to hear what some of our HI members have to say about this show.  Maybe some are cast in it?

Don't think you will get much from them if they are under contractual orders to not talk about the show. I asked Rocket (Isaac) but got a reply having nothing to do with the question asked. Never heard from Boogie-D.

It's more staged than Jerry Springer but I still love the fish porn

Is it staged or are they stupid? Secret spot? There have got to be 100 PBer's who take out 3-4 people at once who know where they are fishing. That and one shot of the launch site or a picture of the coast tells you where they are fishing.

I don't know why TV producers think they have to manufacture drama to keep the casual viewer engaged. But we are not necessarily in the 'casual viewer' demographic.
Same goes for the idea that they have to identify measurable goals for each character (i.e., earn $80k this season, train a noob, become the premier guide, etc.)...it's lame and unnecessary.   With the exception of Kimi's goal to feed herself & friends with what she harvests; that is very honorable and (if you're reading this  ) Kimi's story/vibe/lifestyle is badass. Much respect.

Personally, I wish they'd just let the various characters do what they do best = challenge the seas and their selves to catch the biggest & coolest fish from tiny plastic boats! Isn't that enough?! That's how these shows should work...unobtrusive documentation of these skilled masters at work...as a story telling vehicle, instead of making up bs and then framing the show around it. That's why the only "reality" show I ever watched is called sports.

I'm afraid it is reality.  There have been many similar incident like this reported.
