Hi all I am new to kayak fishing in California. Previously I was on the big island of Hawaii and did a lot of kayak fishing there. I'm just picked up an ocean kayak and am excited to hopefully meet some of you fine folks.

Eh Bruddah,

I grew up on the Big Island on the Hamakua Coast about 16 miles north of Hilo in a tiny (once sugar plantation) community called Ninole. My sister and family own Big Island Delights, which is one of da best ono cookies in Hawaii.
I miss going snorkeling and swimming with all the sea turtles at Richardson Bay and of course the ahi poke from Suisan in Hilo!!!
I am Yonsei 4th generation Japanese in Hawaii. My Dad was in the 44nd and 100th Batallions in WWII  and  I now live in Oakland with my wife and son.
Aloha from NCKA,

Thanks for the warm welcome guys. Looking forward to meeting some of you. There is a tv show on kayak fishing the Big Island. It's pretty cool those guys were able to get enough attention to get it aired on the discovery channel.
Here area few photos!
