I can't figure out how to resize photos on my mac. I've looked through all the menus, and non of them offer resizing options.  I need to reduce the photos my phone takes to post on this sight. Anyone got a suggestion? thanx.

Glyn, double click on an image file to open it. With the cursor active on the picture, you should see in your "Tools" as one of your options at the top of the computer screen. Click to see the options that appear. You should see "Resize Image" and click on it. Change the height and width to the desired size. As you do, you will see the file size change. A good resolution for posting is 72. Choose 11 inches for the longest side of the image.

When you are in iPhoto, highlight the photo then go to the toolbar that has the "export" option. Export the picture to another file. I made a file on my desktop labeled pictures. From that file you can email the pics or post them here and they will automatically be resized. Works for me.

This is the easiest way to resize. If you ever decide that you want tons of image-editing options, GraphicConverter is the Swiss Army knife of image editors:

It's shareware and if you don't pay, there is a short delay and nag screen at startup, and restrictions on batch processing, but otherwise it's full-featured.
