Just a reminder that once you sign up and pay your $40 registration fee for AOTY or DOTY you are eligible to play and enter fish in BOTH comps.

You do NOT need to pay twice.  :smt001

You just need to sign up on both and let me know and I will activate your account.

Here are instructions on how to sign up:

http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=62574.0

You may be saying to yourself..."Well I mostly fish and only pop an ab and shoot a fish every now and again so why bother entering them in DOTY since I have no chance of placing in top three?"

The answer is (besides challenging yourself to get as many different species both above and below water as possible!!) that for the second year in a row we have an AWESOME BRAND NEW KAYAK that will go the winner of the "Participation Raffle".

Quote
Each participant in AOTY/DOTY will automatically receive one entry into the raffle once they pay the $40 entry fee. Participants can receive up to 20 additional raffle entries for each species submitted and approved in both AOTY and DOTY. 21 entries into the raffle will be the max that any player can have. The goal of the raffle is to encourage participation and friendly competition amongst those anglers and divers that may not be able to invest the amount of time needed to finish in the top three.

This year the Participation Raffle prize is a killer Wilderness Systems Thresher 140 with rudder!!

The grand prize for the AOTY winner is an amazing Hobie Revo13:

The grand prize for the DOTY winner is a sweet Jackson Kayak Kraken:

http://jacksonkayak.com/blog/kayak/kraken-15-5-series/kraken-2/

And, as if three prize kayaks wasn't enough...we also have a brand new Hobie Sport as a prize for our Junior Anglers and Divers!!

http://www.norcalkayakanglers.com/index.php?topic=64236.0

Anyway, just wanted to remind folks about the participation raffle!

THANK YOU once again to all our great sponsors, the guys on the committees, and all the players!

 :smt006

Sincerely,

Jim

Not that I know of Cam...I'm staying out of organizing it this year and letting the other committee guys handle it... :smt002

I'm sure they will post up details once they figure it out.

Do we have to pay twice if we want to participate in both AOTY/DOTY?

Also, how much is the registration fee?

Activated your account and you should be good to go!

If you've taken any abs in the past two weeks you can enter those as well Annie.

Jim

LOL! No worries Annie. I'm sure you will get plenty more.

 :smt001

A hawg trough and a knife are fine for ab shell pics. You can check out examples here:

http://doty.norcalkayakanglers.com/speciesleaders/list_by_species/19

Once they go over 10 inches a lot of guys use a caliper but not required.
