Thank god my dad raised me to be a hardcore niner fan. Thank god! Watching the seahawks lose there first game in o.t is equally FANTASTIC!

Raiders will be alright, just growing pains. The Niners though, much better than expected. Good defense and a solid running game as usual, but their trajectory rests on the right arm and legs of #7.

Football is so cyclical and it doesn't take long to go from cellar to Super Bowl sometimes. I'm not saying they're headed there this season, but they have a good young QB, a stud in the making at WR, and a great LB.

The best time of year to be a Raider fan???......5 minutes before opening weekend kickoff. It's all downhill from there.....With the first pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, the LOS ANGELES Raiders select.....Some dude that is really reaally fast....but sucks.

Hardly a fairweather fan or bandwagon jumper. I've been a Niner fan since birth and grew up in a die hard Niner household. My grandpa used to love giving me crap when the Niners lost because he was a Raiders fan. I've been there through the bad years and the good years. Hell, I sat in the pouring rain in a half empty Candlestick park a few years ago watching (till the end) the Niners get stomped by 40.

My comment had nothing to do with on field stuff. Winning seasons, losing seasons, it all comes with the territory for fans. Hopefully it was just an aberration and they're turning a corner, but its uneasy rooting for a team that's constantly having their mug shots shown on the news.

You see that video of the Niners fan drop kicking the head of the Vikings fan who was already on the ground?

What a piece of sh*t.

My last two times at Niners games have been really sh*tty. Fans were just assholes.

Sucks cuz I have friends who are niners fans, but for whatever reason a lot of the fans seem to be complete dicks when they are at the games...throwing food at my wife, calling the security guard cuz we were "cheering at the wrong time".

STFU, "cheering at the wrong time"?!

 

Have had way better experiences at Raiders games.

I'm all for good natured heckling/ribbing against opposing fans...but this was NOT that.

In contrast, I think this article sums up the way my family and friends and I treat visiting fans to the Superdome and New Orleans:

Of course there are bad apples in any crowd, but from my personal experience the Niners fans seem to have an issue with it that goes above and beyond...
