Hey everybody,
My brother pointed me over here. I'm in the Sacramento area, don't know much about this sort of thing, but always enjoy learning more about new hobbies that get me out of the house.

I am an EMT, working on getting into med school, and enjoy compound archery.

That's about it, thanks for reading and I hope to learn and contribute here. I'll read up on the "things you need" list I've heard about.

Hey you did do it! I would put a wetsuit 4mm surfing full body etc towards the top of your stuff to get list. I lasted about 2-3 hours on tomales bay without it and had to paddle in. I was counting on the sun and high temps...the fog didn't let that happen

Welcome to the madness. It will be a good stress reliever to go kayak fishing when you get burned out with school.
