Hey ladies and gents!

My name is Austin, been fishing over 25 years now, mainly ocean but spent around 10 years pursuing Guiding Fly Fishing in the Sierras and Lake Tahoe areas. Now I reside back home in Santa Cruz, Monterey Bay area. For the last 8 years, I have spent a lot of it on top of a yak fishing on the open seas from Big Sur - Humboldt County, however 80% is within the local waters here in the Monterey Bay. Thanks to Mike a neighbor of mine for introducing me to the amazing sport!

I have the privilege to be supported by companies I have worked for, for my amazing deals on my gear. Which was pretty lucky considering I have not really thought about Tournament fishing; but now that I have gained a new long lost family within this group, I have a strong belief I will be meeting MANY of you soon and getting our competition on, if we have not met already!

I cannot wait for some competition, I mean, we all do it for fun, but sometimes its just better with a little added competition!? With it being so late in the year, I would have loved to joined in the AOTY competition, however I may be a little behind in the year and submissions.

I have been Kayak Fishing for 8+ years and love to see where the sport is headed, can't wait to meet you guys, go fish, have a great time and tell stories! I have a family of 3, my Lady Stef, Son Finn (3 1/2) and another boy on the way, Wesley.

I am currently wanting to get a group of Monterey / Santa Cruz based guys together to start a local organized club consisting of beach cleanups, conservatory and ocean habitat conditioning, the whole nine yards. If interested, contact me, or if there is something out there I am unaware of, let me know. Think surfrider foundation, but more local, working with the Salmon Project, etc.

Currently most of my photos and videos are on my GoPro and Camera, can we upload videos here or create youtube links to them? Thank you again for the great support you guys have, I have heard about this site for so many years, about time I joined!
