I was with the family wandering around the harbor on Saturday, and we saw that half-sunken boat. I didn't know the story but, ironically, we went to 4 mile beach later in the day...
Are you pondering what I’m pondering?

I think they were manufacturing butane hash oil, or maybe it was a meth lab.

It's Obamas fault.  Just kidding.  :smt002
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

Don't piss off the rednecks.....boat might blow up.

I think it is funny how a blown up boat is blown up.

I heard the guys had pretty bad burns from the accident. I always think of those guys as having their act dialed. Wonder what happened?

oddly, the same beach was where a pot panga crashed in the surf a couple of summers back.

Yeah, not so much allatime.  They rotate rookies through that are pretty green in terms of seamanship, boat handling and dare I say DFW regs.

Tough to tell exactly what type of boat that was, looks like a decent size RHIB. Some of those have a bladder style fuel tank, and even the smallest break in its integrity, or poor connection of the plumbing, can result in a lot of fuel vapor escaping very quickly, which would explain the small explosion. It still needs a source of ignition though...
