Hi guys,

I'm working on my garage and was wondering how you guys store your kayaks. Pics would be great!

Not looking for anything specific just curious to see how everyone else did it!

I made a stand out of wood. It wheels out of the garage for easy loading and unloading when I am by myself. It supports the kayaks at the 1/3 spot so the weight is evenly distributed.

I hang my Hobie down the middle of the garage, it makes for low head room, but in short enough to deal with it.  Sometime later this month I'll have to figure out where to hang the 2nd kayak.

Carts that are the same height as my truck bed. Roll em out slide them in to the bed. Plus it doubles as a nice stand for rigging

nice rack traildad.
Thanks. Cheap enough and possible for those of us without all the metalworking tools to make.

I like all the cart ideas... I might do something similar. I need as much space as possible for my dog training area so I try to pack it as tight as possible.

But maybe hang the Predator I don't use much then keep the fishing stuff on the cart with the Trident.. Thanks would be interested in seeing any others!

I made something similar to what Traildad did. But instead of storing them upside down, I'm going to attach brackets (like the one Fishcomb posted) and store them on their sides to save some space in the garage. Added caster wheels for easy moving. The bottom back part is where my PortaBote will sit and maybe add some hooks to hang my crab traps

I called in from work today to fix a Tacoma-brake job gone wrong from yesterday. What a pain  :smt013. Ended up with some extra free time, so I decided to make one.

All designs look great! HOWEVER! almost every MFG recommends you stop them upside down to damage or warp the hull over time. Just keep that in mind!

I store mine similar to the hanging in the garage deal, but rather then right side up its upside down. Just my own 2 cents. :)
