I'd be interested in a clinic. Thanks.

It looks like I will host a sturgeon clinic then.  :smt006

I will get a date posted in "fishing events" subforum within the next few days. The clinic will be at CCK in Rancho.

That would be perfect. I work in Rancho. I can set up my lunch during your presentation or after work. Either way, I'm in.
Thank you for putting in the effort :)

I have a small  buoy and a carribeaner in my rear cargo area hooked onto a rope thats tied through my scupper holes. I can reach back and unhook it in 4 seconds if need be incase debree hits my anchor line or fish on. In my opinion salmon roe is the best bait.but the individual eggs have to be big like you get from the clapped out river salmon. The small roe is no good. Ive always outfished my buddies with it fwiw. I like cache slough. Go get em!

You would benefit from a system you can release without reaching back. It might be harder than you think to release it while your kayak is rolling and dumping you into the water. Here is a photo of a log, tree actually, that hit me from behind. I never saw it coming. Luckily for me I use a length of chain for an anchor so my anchor slipped and it didn't dump me. Now I have a bicycle rear view mirror that hooks on my glasses so I can keep an eye out for logs.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

You can learn a lot by watching this video, one of my favorites.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

Yup, do the exact opposite of everything you see in that video and you are likely to land a sturgeon.  :smt003
