Is there a way to stop the pop up videos above the recent post box? Lately the ad videos start by themselves and jack up my position while reading a post. i found it takes two or more hits on the pause button to stop it but then it still plays. Hopefully its an oversight on my part cause this annoys the hell out of me. Anyone else have this problem?

The videos that are served up are not supposed to launch automatically.  If you hover the cursor over it for a couple seconds, they will start.  Try not parking the cursor over them.

if you're on Chrome, try installing Flashcontrol or adblock.  I don't get the ads at all.

You do know the person that posted above you owns the site right?

You should allow the ads so that Allen can use the money on hosting this site.

Thanks for the tips guys. I will try and see if I was inadvertently hovering my cursor. Thought it was weird as it's never happened before.

I was not aware of that.  I've got those two plugs running on the browser by default.  Wasn't even aware there were ads supporting the site.  Will disable ad-block and keep flashcontrol going for this site.  Should allow the ads to load/ generate revenue, but not actually play any auto-running content.  One suspects.

We use ads via Google Ads.  There should be no auto-running content.  That's not to say that shit doesn't slip through Google controls every now and then.  The rollover ads are the closest thing to auto-running, but again, you should have to hover on them for a few seconds before they start up.

If you guys do get truly auto-running ads, please let me know.  Thanks.
