Cool.....#2 from the left is awesome.  I dig the honeycomb look.

When are you gonna host a turn n chill?  I need to knock out some pegs for a coat and backpack rack.....was gonna throw some dowel on my metal lathe and have a go at it.  It'd be nice to get some practice in.

I have 2 dedicated mini/midi wood turning lathes set up at my place.  You guys can come over & turn.  One of them has a chuck mounted up at the moment in the event you want to turn something a little larger.  Any larger than that, we'll have to go the the other shop for the metal lathe.

edit....I almost posted a suggestion about creating a red yellow and green ferro stick but I'm not a hippie.  I'll let eDub have his thread back :)
