It was WINDY!!!! ! And that is an understatement.

Yep- Just a tad on the breezy side. Even with the wind it was still a great event- Thanks again Ricci, Mike and all the sponsors!

It was super windy, but I still had a lot of fun. I didn't catch any fish, but I won a net!

Can somebody fix my picture from sideways?

I was looking forward to making a real effort to troll up some kokanee or mackinaw. Just about as soon as I had my gear down I got hit by a gust of wind out of nowhere. The kind of gust that threatens to tip you over because it is so sudden and so strong. After a few minutes it calms down again. Then I hear over the radio that a charter boat is bringing a kayaker back to shore and towing his kayak. As the next gust was blowing I started thinking what I'd do if the winds started to blow like that for a sustained time.  :smt009 I figured I'd better stay closer to shore. I pulled up my downrigger and spent a couple hours dragging a lure near shore for nothing.

I didn't know there was a sandy beach so I brought the wrong wheels. I finally got my gear and kayak off the beach and took a nap waiting for the potluck. It was another wonderful NCKA meal.
Then came the PIF raffle and I won a nice Lowrance Elite-4 HD FF.  :hello2:

Congratulations to all the winners. Thanks to Ricci and everyone that helped to make this a great event. Thanks to all the sponsors helping to raise money for a worthwhile cause.

Thank you Ricci, Mike and all the sponsors!!! What a great event although the weather was snotty! I'm a little over 2 weeks since my Knee surgery and still managed 5miles on the water, with one Koke lost at the net!! Little bastards are on steroids lol!!!! love it!!  Look forward to the next SLAM!!!!!  Weather today while leaving was 180. Pretty nice out. Saw RacinRob truck at the launch was tempted to get back out but need to rest the leg!  Everyone you missed out on a killer event with limits of Kokes being caught.  Amazing NCKA potluck with a rewarding raffle!!!!

Live your life, the way you want to be remembered. Don't have any regrets, we only get this one dance to make it count. Start at your eulogy, and work backwards.

Wow, pretty close between the top two.  From initial reports it is amaziny that people were able to stay on the troll for 5 fish.  Way to go guys!

Congrats to Ben and thanks to him also for finding "the spot" and "the lure". I farmed one at the kayak just before the net that could have been "the one". I will be back soon to get some red ones next month for fun.

Thanks to Ricci for getting this one together. Tahoe is fun and a beautiful place to fish.
