Have a Marine on leave staying with us for the Holidays and he wants to visit in Alameda tomorrow. So I am going to pump CMB for ghosties anybody game I'll be on the beach near Park st. 9/10 am.

I'm pretty sure I've read somewhere that you once lived in Alameda (??), so you probably already know but I'll throw it out there anyway.
The small beach just to the right of the Encinal boat ramp (rockwall) is also a good spot to try and pump some shrimp.  Theres a large hole in the fence.
Good luck!

Yo Mike, if your guest wants to join us at Black point, he's more than welcome to use my malibu, just need to rig up an extra quick release anchor.

got any photos or descriptions of this "quick release anchor system" you speak of? I'm assuming your attaching it to the rear point of the boat rather than the side to reduce drag? I have clips on a a running line that goes along both sides of my boat, but not the rear of the boat.

thanks, Jonesy

Hey Jonesy!
What Mooch is showing is a great example of a quick release, very much like mine, but  mine was set up by Papa Bill, who I bought the yak from.
Tote has a great set up as well, a little different, I think Sean set up his like that too. Cool lttle cams.
Mine is getting a little corroded so it might be time to redo it, its way important not only to quick release, but quick deployment as well cause those sturgie currants are some of the strongest ive experienced and you DO NOT want to have your anchor bite the mud while you are sideways, very dangerous. Have fun! Ben
