This is a good idea to download, but please always remember this. If you think it might be an emergency, it IS an emergency. Always call 911 first! As a EMT and Wilderness First Responder, I can not express enough how important is to get EMS rolling as soon as possible. Delay by looking up treatment before calling can make a bad situation worse. After calling, then look up what you can do. Remember, if you are not trained, your main goal is to keep the subject stable until trained help can arrive. Again, even if you think it "might" be an emergency, it IS an emergency. Call 911, you can't go wrong with that. I have responded to calls that were delayed, and the outcome could of been prevented.

Totally agree, and the app does have a quick link to dial 911 from as well. 

However I was thinking is this could be handy in situations where you might not be able to contact professional help in time.  Many places I fish along the coast have no cell reception at all, or anyone near by that can come to your aid quickly.

That is why I always have a radio with me. Great idea to download the app.
