I had a nintendo once circa '86. Played Zelda like twice. Total bullshit.
Then I remembered that I had a baseball mitt and all was good.

Don't know anything about the Minecraft game, but got totally hooked when I found the  Battlefield game back in 2005ish?  (Maybe earlier) started with Battlefield 1942, the mods came out for it to "Modernize" the weapons and I became hooked like it was crack!  (Before wife)  I was so addicted to the on line battles, I was late for a date with my GF at the time (Now wife) 8-10hrs play was not uncommon then.
Now, I have BF4 but laptop is too old to play it reliably, I don't do any online games now.

because you have a social life  :smt044

Yup. You see it a lot with socially isolated students and military spouses during deployment. To some, the game becomes a surrogate for real accomplishment (when you accomplish something in the game, the same brain synapses fire as when you do something real). I have seen quite a few people go through a multi-year downward spiral playing these games.  The more they play, the more it reinforces their social isolation.

I used to play Delta Force1 and 2 on-line back in the day. Maybe '99 or 2000. Was even on a squad that was one of the best in the game. Then I went on to Call of Duty and played the first couple of those just for fun every once in awhile. FPS are dope!

Don't have the time to even fire up a game and haven't played a game on my computer or PS3 in over 5 years.

I started kayak fishing to get away from most of you...

COD WAW was definitely one of my favorites.  The theatrics of the game make it feel like your playing a part in a movie!  Parts of it were just INTENSE!  Although I used to game fairly often in my 20's, my 30's have been practically game free except during the holiday season where I have some extra free time ( if i'm not out fishing or camping).

I enjoyed poker when it was popular on the internet before the USA#1 government shut it down a few years back.

My kids play minecraft with each other over wifi or in creative mode by themselves. My oldest will take her tablet backpacking and play minecraft in the tent at night. Fine by me.

I played minecraft for 12 hours a day for three years back in the 90's. I was level 3 miner, I bolted, drilled, shot, mucked, and repeated everyday. Lol, the real minecraft!
