Hi,
I'm a big fan of live bait fishing and I'm looking into how this could work with my tarpon120.
I came across the torpedo bait bucket:
http://www.torpedobaitbuckets.com/
It weighs about 15oz and costs 30bucks. Can float or stay underwater. This thing sounds awesome.
Has anyone tried? What are your solutions/suggestions for carrying live bait?

Thanks,
Steph

A while back there was a lot of talk about DIY bait tubes. I don't think they worked as well as it was hoped. Seems like the serious live bait guys switched to live bait wells. I haven't done much salt water live bait yet but the trolling bait buckets aren't too bad to drag around. I used a flat top bucket I got in an emergency and that was like dragging an anchor. I've used this one for minnows and it works well.

The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope.  ~John Buchan

Thanks for the input guys.  :smt001
I'll have to do some thinking. I will say, I like the fabril troll container because you can keep the bait of the water too.

Ive got the Frabill as above in the link. I throw it over the side while fishing and when I move to a new spot I put it between my legs. It sits there well due to the flat weighted bottom. I also put it there while putting bait in or out.

Thats exactly how I had it thought out.
Thanks again.

I use a homemade bait tube when I fish live bait. Works great for me, and doesn't drag much when you pull it around.
