At one time I used the Ram arm assembly for a couple years and recommend it. But like someone said every setup has its drawbacks. You'll need to pull it up before you land on the beach or going through kelp. You'll also need to make sure it's shooting straight down off the boat, other wise when you're over deep structure you want to make sure you're directly over it, not in front or behind. But, I found both of these drawbacks to be really nothing, considering I was able to transfer the rig from my T15 to my Outback, vise versa. Plus having a accurate water temp was import to me too. You'll figure out what works for you. Good luck and happy rigging.

Kayak.s are like chopper motorcycles. the cleaner and leaner the better.  Les to wash afterwards, less stuff to drag around.  Less worry about how much of a load you are putting on your battery.  I find my self no matter how hard I try taking to much stuff.  I am working on whittling down what I need, what I must have, and what I want to have with me.

You most likely did not get the rudder on the 120? There are two screws on the rear of the kayak for the rudder install. You can fab an aluminum bracket and bolt on to those two screws and the ducer on the other end. Done and in the water. Just don't let it hang lower than the kayak and you won't get grass/kelp etc on it.
Thanks RacinRob. I was thinking of that too, I just wasn't sure how to get a feeling of how deep I should place it. I cant really see it once its back there. Adjusting may be a little difficult. Definitely considering it though.
Thanks
Eh, don't over think it. If you do the rear transducer, as long as the base of the transducer is just a hair higher than the deepest point of the keel, you're fine. Its deep enough to register but still protected from crud and obstructions by the keel ... bingo. There really shouldn't be any adjustment needing to be made once its installed so don't sweat that either. You can also make a removable scupper mount for a few bucks too. Lots of options, and the best thing ... very few of them won't work. Good luck !
