Thanks for the great site NCKA.

I've decided to educate myself on kayaks.  The info here is invaluable. The members are great on sharing and have a good attitude.

Joined yesterday.

I plan on trying out kayaks and take lessons.  Still reading and taking notes.
(Currently I fish from the rocks off Ft. Ross to Salt Point. I grew up East Coast and loved canoes and did some light white water and 'long trek canoe camping'...but kayaks are relatively new to me.)

Wife is wondering what I did all weekend long...read forums and compared equipment...and talking to friends who go out.
Steep learning curve, but I'm liking it more and more.

Again, thanks for all the information and hosting a great website.

Welcome brother. I'm here in Sonoma County as well. Go to Santa Rosa wind sports. They're our Hobie dealer in the area.

Welcome Juan.  Think safety first.  You always want to come back in safely, so you can go out again.
