I thought long and hard, about posting this. I went in for another battery of tests today. The results came back, really bad. I just got called to come in ASAP to have my guts scoped and a biopsy. Looking like pancreatic cancer. They want the biopsy to make sure. Fuck

FUCK is right.  Hoping its all a mistake and it gets turned around.

We've never met but hold on to hope here. Pancreatic cancer is bad but there are more chemos to combat it than just a few years ago. If you have a good health provider like Kaiser that you trust, be assured that they have access to all the  treatments.   Stanford or Anderson in Texas is also an option if need be.

I haven't met you in person but you connected me with quail point hunt club to watch some hunting dogs at work which was an awesome experience and wouldn't have happened without you! I enjoy reading your blog and I still need to give you my spongebob fork to make a jig out of haha! Wishing you the best, Rich.

My neighbor's sister-in law had the whipple surgery several yrs ago still cancer free. Her surgery was at UCSF. I can double check that if you wish, and find out who the surgeon was. This is a very tough card to play, but playable.

Now that I had a bit to process it...the likely shock is done, find out for sure. Get thru this test and start looking at options. Thanks guys, gals, some of you others! 

Goddamnit Rich, really sorry to hear this. No one knows what the future holds but I know that today, and all the days I've known you, you've been a good friend to a lot of people and one hell of a good dad. I hope it continues that way till you're old and gray. However it turns out, know that in my book you're livin' right and that's all any of us can hope for. I'll be thinking good thoughts for you and yours.
