Hennessey 7/22/15… next week after next

  Great non-profit working with a dozen young vets at a time for 4 months. Their schedule is dynamic to say the least and I always have said they could give us a quick notice,

and they Have, 

   The Bat Nor Cal HOW Signal has been lit…     

  Time to respond…

  Just Noticed I had this as the 23rd Wednesday, it's 7/22/15 Wednesday

Just got off the phone with the lead therapist at Pathways and looks like were expecting around 10 or so with therapist.

  Get this though;

 All participants are very excited about the event, all the vets love fishing and have their fishing license,,, ok, great, but

this particular session is a hybrid inpatient / outpatient model, meaning they come in for treatment, sometimes stay and sometimes go home to their young families, so ...

  Their locals!!!! and sound North Bay too…

  Awesome, and were Rolling out the Red Carpet as Usual,

   but it also looks like were picking up 10 more NCKA peeps along with saving a life or two,

  This is exactly what I ever hoped this program to be….

  RIGHT ON EVERYONE!!!!       

  Not too worried about man-power on this one …

 I know it's sudden middle of the week, and expect a lot more of this, but this is what works best sometimes with the smaller groups…

 this particular event, The Vets coming from Pathways want to help set up,        perfect…!!!

  Rob pulls up with the trailer, So Far Rob, Raydonn and I and the vets get everything out, set up,

deploy, paddle, fish, heal…. simple breakfast and lunch…

  10 more NCKA peeps, mission served and all is well…   

  More Welcome to come help out and introduce some local heroes having a hard time, to the Kool World of kayak fishing,

  not too mention all of us here @ NCKA too...

I wished could make this one!! I will be at Mather VA GI Clinic having an Colonoscopy!  I would love to be on the water with you all. I will be watching for the next event one of the things in my life I look forward to giving back to our warriors. Make it happen guys!

no worries, we got this...

I will not be able to make this one as we are doing the family vacation thing. Just got back from L.A. , leaving for seattle this afternoon. Coming back from seattle on sunday then leaving the following tuesday for santa cruz. I have all the new HOW cooking equipment in my garage. If you guys need any of that stuff, monday would be the day to get it.

I'll try to ask my boss for a couple days off on the 7/22 and 7/23 as my birthday is on the 23rd.

Get those boys some white and chartreuse spinnerbaits.  Leave the ramp and head left towards the larger part of the lake.  Then head North along the right hand bank.  Have them work the spinnerbaits irratically along the edges and through the sparse tules and they will catch good bass.  When I say irractically I mean burn it and let it fall for a second.  Throw in some twitches.  Anything to make it look like a fleeing or dying shad.   I don't even start fishing at Hennessey until I'm around the corner and out of sight of the boat landing as the majority of the fish seem to hang out in that larger part of the lake.

I'm still waiting to see if I can get the day off, but it's not likely.  Have fun out there guys!
