Well the tsunami inspired Japanese team beat USA 4 years ago. Now it's time for some revenge. Wambach isn't the force she used to be but it is the 4th of July weekend, we have the home team advantage and not too many injuries. Let's go USA.

I think we are a much better team with Wambach coming off the bench. It changes the psyche of the team and allows them to play a possession style game instead of the long ball over the top. The game against Germany was the best game they have played in 4 years.

USA women seem to be peaking at the right time. Despite lucky breaks against Germany they were the better team. Japan will have a hard time overcoming a stellar defense as well as the speed and height advantage of the US women. Japan does excel in ball control and passing but it probably will not be enough for a win. We'll see.

Wow Loyde's hat trick goal from mid field was amazing. What a game.

What a game by the US women - 4 goals in the opening 16 minutes or so was just amazing.  That mid-field shot by Lloyd was incredible - the replay showing the goalie stumbling back, reaching-up, and the ball just slightly deflecting and going into the corner of the net - just amazing.

For anyone with the time and opportunity, every game played by the U.S. team will be re-aired, starting at midnight, starting with the Australia game on through the finals with Japan.
