Hi Guys -

Any reports on Macs or Dines being caught at the Santa Cruz Wharf?  I am planning to take my daughter there then hit the rides at the Beach Boardwalk.  Maybe catch a few fish first then do the amusement rides.

Thanks  :smt006

Heard from a coworker that someone caught a small WSB off the end of the wharf this last weekend.  Can't validate ... he's an old coot.

I did catch some spanish and greenbacks north of SC on Sunday so they are around.
Sorry I can't give specific wharf intel, but I haven't been down there lately.

My dad and nieces were there about a week ago and caught about 3 dozen.  I would guess they are still around, but not sure in what numbers.

Did a walk through on Sunday and lots of shiner and smelt being caught. Didn't see any macks.

GF and I fished Santa Cruz from a rental skiff on 7/3. We didn't see much bait near the wharf, but there was a mix of macs and smelt out by the mile buoy.

We mostly fished the mile reef and ended with a nice sack small-mid sized rockfish.

Not much biting on the wharf for the pier anglers.  We gave up after about 30 minutes and did the Broadwalk rides.

last Wed. wharf was dead - caught one shiner which was put down for Hali - no love.
Kids got beach and boardwalk = everyone was happy!
Was great to escape the 100+ degree weather here in oven of the interior.
State biologist(cutie :smt002) said it has been slow for a few days.
