Sent my Drysuit in for wrist gasket replacement and general touchup. I had partly ripped a gasket when I first got it and was trying to stretch the wrists. It finally ripped all the way, a couple years later, at GS9.
I called them today as I had not heard from them and from others I knew that their turn around is usually quite fast. The tech said, it had failed the pressure test because it was "sweating" over some large areas. He said it, sweating, wasn't covered by warranty. He then called his manager while I waited. They approved giving me a new suit, Hydrus Supernova Angler,  as a warranty replacement. I got to choose the size and color. My suit was really baggy as, Headwaters had given me a good deal on a size that was larger than I needed. So now I get a tangerine suit (better for the PB's to spot me than my ocean blue suit) and a better fit.
I'm very happy with the way Kokatat stands by their product.  In a world were it's easy for people to knock companies they don't like, I think it's important that we let others know when we receive quality service from a quality company. ++++ MADE in the USA

That's great. I had a similar experience this year. I sent my suite back to get new gaskets/ tested. It was found to have a materials issue. They warranted it and I had an option to get the same light weight paddle suite or upgrade/ customize a different suite. So for a small extra fee I got better gortex xl suite with large feet in stead of the extra large.

They were great to deal with on the phone. I am very very happy with my new suite. I will buy from them again!

Trask in customer service will take care of you! About a month ago I ended up having to send one of my pairs of tempest back due to leaky socks (heal sections) after 4+ years of hard use. The new socks were covered under warranty, the only thing I had to cover was the pressure test which was like $10 bucks and the shipping back $9.

One helluva company/products and top notch customer service!

Always good to hear about the positive experiences.   Too many times we only hear the complaints...

I have been using the same Kokatat paddling jacket since 98.   Never had any problems with it in all this time.

I've considered switching to a dry suit, but never quite made the leap.  Your report on your good experience with Kokatat made me want to support them in some small way, and that made the difference. I'll be buying suit from them.

Yeah Kirk, I had the same suit as you. I call it the GS suit because we all got them after the GS where it rained and we froze our asses off. Mine delaminated and they replaced it for free. A really great
American company. I wish there were more of them so we don't have to buy cheap imported crap.

Once again, Kokatat is, a great company.
Only negative is the bright orange color will make it impossible to fade back into a crowd  :smt002 :smt003
