There's a bout 2 dozen in los vaqueros  swimming with some carp now. Didn't know what they at first then I saw a bright Orange one, a pearl one, and a silver and black one. All about 2-3lbs each.

yeah, we get them at my work sometime too...  This one was about 18inch...

No (and yes kinda). Goldfish are not commonly referred to as carp in the common vernacular, but they are in the carp family. When most people say carp in these parts they are probably referring to the common carp.

we have two very large Koi that swim around the  boat dock at our family house up at Tahoe Keys..they is purdy but they so don't belong there
