Yeah, thanks!  This route is a mess even when there isn't a race.
Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

Good to know.

Also, for those who actually plan ahead, Doyle Dr in SF leading to the GG Bridge will be closed July 9th - 13th. The bridge will remain open but getting across will be a cluster f*ck.

Lots of ways around 37 if you are crafty.
Nothing biting out this way anyhow. Save your gas. :smt002

I've been stuck in all of them during that kind of weekend....except going through Clear lake and I-5 south.

I live in Martinez, on big race weekends I go 4/80/580 (over the San Rafael Bridge), then 101 on up.

This only adds about 15 minutes to a trip up to the Sonoma coast and bypasses all the Sears Point traffic.

Thanks for the reminder

Hwy 37  has been very slow since 6 AM.
There has been a bottleneck at Mare Island since 10 AM for most of the day, Hwy 80 has not been affected too much. it should get real bad within the next few hours.
