I've been accused of posting up if I have a big BM and its probably true.  Heres a short report of taking out my 19 foot panga to Santa Cruz Is.
Overloaded boat with camping gear for two.  21 mile trip with no problems.  Unloaded the boat and carted  the gear up 1/4 mile to the campsite then headed out toward the North of the Is.  Scallops and Calico once you clear all the mpa's.  2nd day live boating across a school of wsb and I long shot an 18 lb'er.  My buddy gets a 24#.  Score some more calico for camp dinner.  Serious wind each night.  I've got a 16# bruce anchor with a 12# rock anchor on the front of the chain with a 24# weight belt slid down on that for good measure.  Still lost a friends boat but were able to recover it before dark.   3rd. day the drift wasn't as good and the vis was worse so ran to Anacapa for some more scallops.  4th day head for home on some nasty following sea which took a while to master.
Miserable traffic from Salinas to Morgan Hill and a flat tire on the trailer on 280 and my spare was shaky so under 50 mph the last 100 miles.

Thanks Batt  How is the ice holding capability?  Work out well?  I'm always looking for alternatives to Igloo.  The Yeti are nice but SUPER expensive.  Pelican makes some now too.

Thanks & sorry for the thread jack guys!
