What beaches have people seen grunion at in the Bay? I live in Marina so I am going to try Del Monte tonight but I have never seen them in the Bay. I remember reading a report from someone seeing them in Del Monte, hope they are there tonight.

Thanks
Jason

We had an awesome hookup about a year ago by the Wharf in Monterey last year.  Good times - 1 Grunion.

Is it legal to catch them by hand and use them as bait?

Can only catch them by hand but not sure about using them as bait.  Heard they are only caught by moonlight so you'd have to keep them alive quite a while for use as bait (if even legal).
