surgical options should be looked at... 100% = loss of function. See doctor asap....
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Not sure about taking care of a tear.  I have pulled mine several times and the only thing you can really do is take some Advil and try to stay off it and keep from stretching it.

never had it looked at by a real doctor, but i have had, what I thought, was a torn hammy.
pain right under your ass cheek and behind the leg. Time and time off from doing hard stuff was the only way it would heal.

did i say it hurt like hell to do anything leg related.....even sitting on the crapper was tough.

I had a serious tear on mine maybe 15 years ago -- you could actually feel the gap created in the muscle -- but was able to avoid surgery and rehabed it with about 8 weeks of PT. There's still a bit of scar tissue in there but it has held up well.

Get it looked at by a professional so you know what you have and how to heal it properly.

Good luck,
Brad

I jacked up my right hammy REAL bad once.
So bad that when I walked I couldn't move my right leg past my left leg. I'd have to step with the left then bring my right even to it, and repeat.
I even needed hep tying my shoes....thank god for over sized slipons.
Had to rest it for about a week then take it real easy for about a month before I could really move again. It still hurt, but after some time I healed itself.
Get an opinion from a PT before you feel the need to see a Dr. They may be able to give you an idea of how bad it is and what the recovery time might be.
Hope it heals up quick Juan.

I actually tore mine in half about 20 years ago. Very painful and required reattachment. I heard strains and partials are almost as bad as it takes a long time to heal. I had to go to PT to learn to walk correctly. I did pull a hamstring that sidelined my running in high school. Bummer... cost me scholarships.

Not ok. :smt044
Fucked mine up twice moving too quick. And by that I mean running. Also not ok.
Bruised the back of my leg up real bad. The second time was kinda gross.  Never did the doctor thing, but it took a lot of stretching and even more time than I anticipated to heal.
Get well Dude!
