Has anyone pokepoled the Santa Cruz harbor jetty?

It looks like it might be ok.  Lots of holes and crevices.  Lots of crabs for the fish to eat....

I might give it a go when I get my pokepole from santa mooch.

I'd love to tag along with you guys if you do some local pokepoling.  I could probably make a pokepole from some bamboo bought at the nursery and a coat hanger.  Don't know how to fish with a pokpole but I want to learn.  Anything to get out on or near the water during the winter is good with me.

How mcuh minus tide do you look for in order to have good coditions for pokepoling?  Obviously the more minus the better but is there some point where it becomes a reasonable attempt?

Here are a couple more links for pokepoling:

You guys have piqued my interest.  I'm looking to make myself one and maybe try down in Garrapata SP next week.  I'll post in hook-ups if so.
