My dad and I are puzzled over identifying this... whatever it is. Plant? Fish? Eel? Worm?

Fish tank? If so it might be a juvenile sea cucumber or worm.but it does look like a type of sea cucumber

No, it's in the ocean in St. Croix USVI. Thanks, Sea cucumber seems likely but i can't find anything similar on google so far.
