I was checking out some new scratches on the bottom of my kayak, and noticed these little pointed things in clusters on the bottom of my yak...
They  squish and wipe off easily  and aren't  much of an issue but haven't seem them  before.  I was out for 6-7 hrs on Mon  and was wondering if someone knows what they are?
Thanks,
Scotty

my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Most of the floating trash I collected at the Cove two wknds ago had the same stuff (mussel growth?) on it. Stuff in the water and stuff washed up on shore. But they seemed smaller than the ones in your pic.

Lots of little jellies in the water,

BTW those little jellies are awesome bait for blues and blacks. Hook and an egg sinker 3' up, guaranteed hookup!
