Stillwater Cove Monterey Bay

Anybody have any fishing tips for Stillwater cove or other spots in Monterey Bay? We want to go this weekend.

Fresh bait if your bait fish
2-4 oz weights if your fishing swimbait

Live bait > swim bait
Swim bait > old frozen
Swim bait = fresh frozen

Dress to get wet

Are you guys going to SWS? I'm trying to see if I can go Sunday and was considering SC as I need help getting by Predator down the stairs at SWS but if there is a group maybe I can make it

Send Craig a message.  It's not SWS that we're going to.  It's some super secret squirrel hideout place that Ive never been too.  But it's in the Monterey bay.

we are talking about going to a place by stillwater Frenchie...nothing drastic like big sur and hiking down cliffs...just a little carry then explore....p.m for details...630 a.m meet up

I ended up going to SC as I wanted to be home around lunch time. Got the harbor around 6:30 and back around 11AM. Went straight to the mile buoy. It was very slow for me. I kept a nice vermilion and released a couple of small browns. That's about it... I saw a boat catching small (not to say very small) lings. Didn't see any other kayak out there. Anyway, it was better than staying home...

Was out there yesterday and got 9 rockfish and 2 decent lings. One was 32". The rockfish were all filled with jellyfish so have something good looking for them
