Looking for my first yak.

Prefer 13-14' range.

Budget: Up to $900 if it has some sweet extras. I already bought a paddle for a sweet deal.

I like Malibu, OK, Wilderness Systems, and Jackson.

Thanks all!  :smt006

Where are you located at?  Where do you plan on fishing?  Stats?

Hi Al.

I'm in Sacramento.

I'm 6'1 235lbs. Chubby but in decent shape - I hike alot to fishing spots.

I'm looking to fish offshore once I've got some experience on the lakes and rivers locally - most likely the Half Moon Bay, Bodega, Santa Cruz, and Monterey Areas. North coast when I can find the time - love Trinidad bay.

Welcome to NCKA!

I saw this boat on CL. It's $100 more than your budget but it's a sweet deal. I use to paddle the 4.3 and I'm 5' 11, and 220 lbs and it was great for both fresh and salt water trips. Good luck in your search.

Thanks bones.

I looked at that boat, but it's too long for my current storage situation :(

I've got a 2012 OK Trident-13 that I'll be selling soon. Guess I could get around to it a little sooner. Humminbird 581i, Scupper mounted transducer Sea-lect Designs TruCourse rudder with Sea-lect designs adj foot brace with rudder control. Hobie rigid side handles, gunwale rod holder ala the ultra series.

I ended up getting an X-Caliber for 499 from OEX Mission Bay(Blem).

So I'm set, wish me luck with the Malibu I figured it was worth a try at that price.

Thanks for the offers guys
