Back in the day, before swimbait became popoular, a 6" all black curly tail was all that.  I see no reason why an all black swimbait wouldn't produce.  I'm surprised they aren't more common place.

I should mention that I will clear all paint occluded hook eyes before distributing, since there is nothing I hate more than trying to work open an eye while I'm on the water.

The big hammer black widow is almost all black with a little red on the belly, but I've only found them in 5", not the 6.5" or bigger.
